Painting by Diana Camba
For more than 30 years, Diana worked in the funeral industry, in funeral homes and at her family's cemetery, helping individuals and families understand their options for burial and cremation. For eleven years, she served as a funeral director, guiding more than 1,000 families through the hardest days of their lives.
For three years, twice a month, Diana traveled to where the San Diego Bay meets the open ocean, scattering cremated remains at sea off Point Loma. It is quiet, sacred work she still carries with her.
Drawing on this experience, Diana helps families find peace of mind, in planning ahead, in the middle of the final season, and with an immediate need once a death has occurred. Some families like to have Diana go to the funeral home to assist the family in the arrangements when the death occurs.
Her experience spans bringing a loved one into the care of the mortuary, preparing them for the family's final goodbye, and supporting the family through the season that follows once the services are over.

“Before having Diana beside me, I was carrying an enormous weight of grief, responsibility, and uncertainty. I often felt completely alone. Diana didn't just listen from a distance, she witnessed my journey firsthand, walking beside me as I cared for my mother through declining health, navigated end-of-life decisions, and faced the loss of both of my parents. Her support was both emotional and practical. She helped me trust my own instincts and make decisions that felt right for me. Most of all, she made me feel less alone.”
